The brief was to design and develop a sake bottle that would be aimed at the UK market. We decided to take inspiration from Kagami Biraki, which is a tradition Japanese Ceremony which literally translates to "Opening of the Mirror" or "Breaking of the Mochi".

We developed a stunning modern look to the traditional look of a sake that is broken during the ceremony, incorporating the fabrics and strings used to decorate the sake. The use of the cork and wooden cap added to the feel of the bottle straying away from the tradition twist cap lids.
